Blackjack

Blackjack is another top casino game with a long history going back centuries, and still one of the most popular table games in casinos today. Blackjack is all about pitting your wits against the dealer, and you are able to control the outcome of the game to a certain extent which makes it all the more exciting.

The aim of the game is to get as close to 21 as possible without going over. The card values from 1 to 9 are the same as their face values, the 10, J, Q and K each count as 10, and the Ace counts as 1 or 11. The best hand of cards in this game is called a Blackjack - which consists of two cards, an Ace and any 10, J, Q or K - making a two-card total of 21.

You'll notice that the dealer always gets two cards, one face up and one face down. If his face up card is an Ace, he'll offer you insurance for each of your hands, as the odds are likely he'll get a Blackjack. If you take the insurance option it's a separate bet (half your original stake) to cover your main bet if he gets a Blackjack. If he doesn't get a blackjack you lose the insurance bet and face off against your original hand and his final hand.

A nice feature in this game version is that you can play up to 3 hands of blackjack at any one time, which gives you a better chance against the dealer as you see more of the cards. This is an ideal way to practise your card counting skills before hitting Vegas for the big one!
